Jacob Black.
The best friend, the one to lean on. The one that brings Bella back, the one who fought for her until she stopped breathing. He kept Bella together when Edward left, tried to persuade her to not be with Edward in Eclipse, kept her safe in Breaking Dawn when his pack wanted to kill her and her unborn baby.
So tell me, why is Jacob Black so often seen as the bad guy? The only thing he ever did wrong was love Bella Swan. He was manipulated by her in Twilight when she was trying to get information on the Cullens. He was a distraction from the pain in the first part of New Moon, used for his knowledge of mechanics so Bella could get her motorcycle and be all daring and shit. He saved her life, then she went running to save Edward. And he didn't even get a chance to kiss her and tell her how he felt. Damn it.
Poor guy, he had just saved her life to watch her go running off to risk it. The the ho comes back and it's like nothing ever changed-she was with Edward again, completely forgetting the fact that she had been broken when he left her.
And yet in Eclipse, Bella keeps calling, writing him notes and everything. Why can't she understand that Edward goes against everything that Jacob stands for?
Jacob decides that he's going to fight for Bella, and does everything in his teenage boy arsenal to get her to love him as much as he loves her. He kisses her-she punches him. Still, he keeps going, until he hears Edward say that one of the best days of his life was when Bella agreed to marry him.
Say what?
Bella hadn't told him about this, and his heart just cracks. There it is-there's nothing left to fight for. He hurts. Edward catches him, tells him that Bella wants to talk to him and he reluctantly goes. He plays dirty. He tells her that it's his fault, and he tells her to ask the question: to kiss her. And he does. He pours everything into that kiss. And she puts into it to before it ends and he has to fight.
But eventually, she chooses Cullen again. And still, he gets an invite to her wedding, blah blah blah. He goes, she tells him she's gonna have sex with the stinkin' leech. GROSS. He freaks. And when he hears that she's come back, she's sick,he knows. He knows she's been changed. Enter Pregnant Bella.
Say what?
So the pack hears through Jake's mind what happened...and want to attack, but Jake saves the day, protecting Bella, the spawn baby, and the rest of the Cullens. Then as a reward, he imprints on the spawn baby, the half human, half vampire who goes against everything he is.
So tell me, why do I read so many stories where Jake is this horrible person? I've read stories where Jake is this monster who won't let Bella get to Edward, stories where Jake hurts Bella in some way.
Jacob Black was never a bad guy, he was just never Edward Cullen. And some of us prefer him anyway.

L4J Note: April is going to be where I highlight all the bomb ass Jacob stories I have been reading & reviewing lately. I know I had been slipping on read & reviewing my wolf/imprint stories. I'm making up for it in the month of April. All Jacob stories all month. They might be slash like Jake/Jasper or they might just be rated T or M but either way they are all going to be bomb ass stories. Trust me!
Oh I watched Twilight in Forks the DVD. I have no desire at all to visit Forks, WA any more. It's so commercialized I just think I'm going to pass on it. I thought there would be more time in La Push but no there wasn't. It was a Cullen & Bella love fest. What about Emily's house? I don't want rant but I was thoroughly disappointed. My 3-Disc New Moon DVD has not arrived but I downloaded my digital copy from amazon just so I can watch it on my MP3 since I can't break the codes on my DVDs any more thanks to fucking Microsoft windows. When I use my decrypter it says it right protected and Windows will not allow this operation. WTF! So in essence I have brought 3 New Moon version fucking Summit bastards from Wal-Mart, Target and Amazon. Fuck why don't I just blog this shit? I really need to update that today but I have to beta Through His Eyes today I want to give it back to her within 48 hours. Okay that's it for today.
On another note I have to tell you the slash that I been reading lately changed my POV on the category what it boils down to is writing not the sex or gender the pure writing that makes me want to jump my hubby and give to him good. That's my standard on any fanfiction aka FF story with lemony goodness.

I love to read and review almost everyday. Yes, I really am addicted to good FF. I try to review every chapter I read even though I am so excited to read the next chapter. I love authors who can back up their story or plot. I love authors who will challenge me or help me understand the story better by answering my questions or comments.
Just because there are thousands of reviews doesn't always mean the story is good, just like a bad blockbuster movie. Some stories are so good they just don't have the marketing or pimping behind them. Just kidding! Keep writing and I will keep reviewing and enjoying the ride until one of my friends/authors twists my arm and makes me write something. Don't hold your breathe though!
I finally gathered up all my courage and decided to beta a story! I love it even though it's time consuming and hard work but the joy of watching the author bring about their ideas to their reading audience, priceless!

Recommendations for January
Chained Back Bella is a vamp and Edward is a human. Bella/Edward were married for 5 years and had two daughters when a freaking jerk vamp comes along and bites her. Bella's change begins and has to sacrifice her beloved family to keep them alive. Oh it is so juicy and Edward/Bella fight like cats and dogs. I mean it is not pretty but is realistic. I love it there's only one chapter to go, damn it! Then a sequel hells yeah! This author is stepping outside of the box and using her creative juices to make interesting choices for the characters, powers, relationships and backgrounds. Author also responds to reviews and is pretty damn funny too.
The Girl Under The Bed If you are looking for a story with heart about Bella that pulls on your heart strings but at the same let's you feel society's hidden population then this is the story for you. If you are looking for a good human Jasper/Bella story look no further. There is only one chapter left though. I love that the author responds to your reviews. If they are specific and not generic like (I loved it. Update soon!) so don't get cute. Yes, Bella will make you want to slap her but the Bella love triangle is worth it even when it just gets messy and just damn nasty. Plus Jake isn't pining over Bella, yay!

Through His Eyes If you love a sexy, smart ass, bad boy named Edward Cullen with a heart but is just a bit damaged by circumstances this is the story for you. There is no love triangle with Jake per say but he is in the mix. If you love a mystery, family secrets to be revealed, damaged back stories and friends that always put in their two cents even when you didn't ask this is the one for you. I loved this story before I became the beta on this one. At first it reminded me of EP but then I keep reading and found out this Edward is totally different. I dare you to read it and to not be cheering for Bella and Edward to kiss. In this story Mr. Cullen is dreamy, sexy, misunderstood, spoiled, jealous, an asshole and possessive but one thing he is not is a stalker. Yay! I know that sounds bad but it's so good, so give it a try you won't regret it! If you do regret it PM me and talk stuff. I'm a big girl I can take it. HD
More by roadrunnertwilightlover If you like three vampires named Edward Cullen, Carlisle Cullen and Jasper Whitlock this is the story for you. The beginning is loaded with lemons and boy are they freaking good. Whew just thinking about them, yikes! I love a southern Jasper with a little Dominant in there to keep it hot. It starts out sexy as hell about rings, desire, sexuality and possession. Then it ends up getting pretty deep turning into a story about freedom, growth, sexism, trial, independence, trust and girl power. I love this story! You will enjoy the educational value she throws in there too. There are a lot of layers to this story but if you look deeper than the words and look for more you will find it. It's a smart read it made me think about a few things. Also if you want to know my real name there is a chapter and character named after me in this story. HD

Jacob Have I Loved, My Renesmee The Choice, The True Alpha: The EJ Black Chronicles by Dazzled by Jake I have read all of her stories great writing period. If you love family sagas and linages like I do then this is the author for you! She has a saga going and all her stories they are interconnected just like IamKate's. Brilliant. She is very thorough with her research and it shows in her writing. I dare you to find a flaw in timelines or story content that do not match SM's books. B/C/S/WP = Blacks/Cullens/Swans/Wolf Pack are present! HD
THE MAN IN ME: Becoming Jacob The best grown up version of Jake he has a lot more layers to him. You pull back a layer and there is more beauty to find about this loving, responsible, artistic, educated man. But it's a WIP. Post BD Jake/Nessie the Cullens/Blacks/Wolf pack are present. HD
Master of the Universe Not your typical Dom/Sub story. You may think so at first but make no mistake this author is serious about the plot and where she intends to go. I personally love the way Edward/Bella communicate in this story. There is no Jake love triangle which I love! I also love Taylor he is the man! Deserves all the reviews she gets over 35,000 and counting! HD = Hype Deserved!
Emancipation Proclamation Deserves all the reviews she gets over 25,000 and counting! I didn't think I would like it after the prologue because I was thinking about the physical side of it and it's more of a mental slavery but not as brutal physically as let's say the book Roots by Alex Haley. It really is a good read that if you let your mind just focus on the story and not the slavery you will find yourself laughing in parts, crying, cheering and yelling at your computer screen. HD = Hype Deserved!
